Welcome to ShortParse! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and automated Warcraft Logs analysis tools located at https://www.shortparse.com ("Service" or "Website").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Website.

1. Description of Service

ShortParse is an automated analysis tool for World of Warcraft players and guilds. It pulls data from Warcraft Logs reports, parses combat events, detects spike damage, filters defensive cooldown usage, and creates a highly structured performance review scorecard.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You agree to use ShortParse in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:

• Submit malformed URLs or spam our servers with duplicate or malicious analysis jobs.
• Attempt to bypass, overload, or disrupt the server infrastructure, API rate limiters, or caching backends.
• Utilize bots, web scrapers, or other automated processes to extract analysis reports from the site without written permission.

3. Warcraft Logs Developer Agreement Integration

Because our Service relies heavily on the Warcraft Logs API, your use of ShortParse is also subject to the guidelines set forth by Warcraft Logs. By using our tool, you represent that you possess the right to analyze the combat logs submitted (e.g. they are public reports or reports belonging to your guild).

4. Patreon Subscription & Premium Features

We are currently integrating Patreon and support structures for advanced premium features (such as historical guild dashboard tracking, custom coaching threshold configurators, and priority job queueing).

• Subscription Activation: Premium features will be gated behind active Patreon memberships. Validation is performed securely through the Patreon OAuth API.
• Billing & Cancellations: All financial transactions, billing cycles, and cancellations are handled directly by Patreon. ShortParse is not liable for Patreon system outages or transactional discrepancies.
• Access Expiration: Should your Patreon tier expire, downgrade, or fail verification, your access to restricted features will be automatically paused.

5. Intellectual Property

All proprietary software, styling, assets, source code (except public open-source libraries), and graphics present on ShortParse are the exclusive intellectual property of ShortParse.com. You are granted a limited, personal, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive license to view the generated analysis scorecards for personal or guild coaching purposes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ShortParse is in active alpha/beta development. We make no warranty that:

• The calculations, spike scanners, or grading metrics will be 100% correct, error-free, or fully representative of individual performance.
• The analysis servers will have 100% uninterrupted uptime or zero latency.
• Any particular boss mechanic configurations or spell mappings will align perfectly with future game updates or Warcraft Logs schema changes.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL SHORTPARSE, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms of Service at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

Any claim relating to ShortParse's website or services shall be governed by local laws without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
